Lorli launches book in NYC

By Felix Manuel

MANILA, Philippines — Lorli Villanueva (Professor Lorli Dima-ala in real life) had a book launching at the Philippine Center in New York last Oct. 27.

Attended by her family, friends and Fil-Am community leaders led by Consul General Tess Dizon de Vega (standing in photo with Lorli) the night was filled with anecdotes from the author. Her two books, Dancing with the Dictator and Living and Experiencing the Realms of the Unknown, garnered praise from those who have bought copies in advance.

Dancing with the Dictator details her experiences during Martial Law. The book focuses on how she was taken from the place where she was shooting a film and ended up on board the Presidential Ship with the most powerful man in the Philippines. A definite must-read for those obsessed with Philippine politics.

Living and Experiencing the Realms of the Unknown contains  several stories about her encounters with the supernatural. For those who believe in the existence of other beings and Philippine folklore, this is definitely one interesting book to read.
