3 aftershocks jolt Ormoc
MANILA, Philippines - Three aftershocks of the magnitude 6.5 earthquake that hit Leyte on July 6 struck Ormoc City yesterday.
The tremors with magnitudes of 2.6 and 2.8 occurred at around 3:14 a.m., 7:30 a.m., and 10:57 a.m., according to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs).
The quakes were felt at Intensity 3, which is considered weak.
Phivolcs warned that aftershocks of the quake that struck Jaro town could last for weeks.
